The first commercial recording from La Maîtrise de Toulouse – an outstanding new French children’s choir. It is one of the Maîtrise – a small group of choirs supported by the French government, formed to give children a ‘choir school’ education and training. Founded and directed by English choral director Mark Opstad, and accompanied by the distinguished award-winning British organist, William Whitehead, it is the only choir of its kind in the south of France.

This is a superb collection of Masses for upper voices - 3 French and 2 English works, including beautifully idiomatic performances of works by Caplet, Delibes and the ever-popular Messe basse by Fauré.
