About

'Last Rose of Summer’ is a music collection for solo trumpet. Each of the 14 tracks has an emotive suggestion - Love, Wonder, Loss etc.

Soloist Tim Hawes uses a variety of brass instruments to bring richness and colour to the arrangements and original material composed by Andy Read. The orchestrations combine traditional instruments with modern technology to produce an ethereal and haunting sound.

The association between Tim Hawes and Andy Read began in 1980. Since then they have worked together on a series of related projects. This CD mixes together a wide range of musical disciplines, genres and personal influences over 3 decades.
