Jens Joneleit went into a recording studio in January and February of 2004. There he first recorded the drum parts of each piece. This was followed by the piano and bass tracks. Each separate track was then multi-tracked, without editing, to form the finished compositions and CD.
In the hands of a master jazz performer such as Joneleit, this is an inspirational and highly effective experiment.
