For this, its first recording, the Sixtine Group has revisited the repertory of its concert programme devoted to American Christmas numbers in order to produce an original object brimming with vitality, humour, yet also reverence.
Why choose the American Christmas tradition? Because it offers the ideal thematic peg to recount the formidable cultural diversity, resulting from the great waves of immigration, which has presided over the evolution of American music, sacred and secular, for the past four centuries.
Enriching this repertory with personal touches, and arrangements and original compositions by Raphaël Imbert, the Sixtine Group invites the listener on a dreamlike, playful journey into a musical world steeped in emotion, at the service of an unostentatious message of peace and sharing.
