Ewald Demeyere (harpsichord)About
In his History of Music, published in 1928, Cecil Gray wrote of Domenico Scarlatti: In spirit….Domenico Scarlatti belongs…..to the succeeding age, to what we may call the Rococo rather than to the Baroque period.
Ewald Demeyere studied harpsichord in Antwerp and is now employed as a teacher of harmony, counterpoint and fugue and is a Professor of Harpsichord. He is a regular chamber music player and has performed with Sigiswald Kuijken and is a member of La Petite Bande and Il Fondamento.
