About

The Swedish soprano Susanne Rydén is one of Europe’s most renowned singers specializing in early music. She regularly performs with internationally acclaimed ensembles and conductors, such as Nicholas McGegan, Lars Ulrik Mortensen, Christopher Hogwood and the Academy of Ancient Music, Masaaki Suzuki and Bach Collegium Japan, Roy Goodman, Harry Bicket, Konrad Junghänel and Cantus Cölln.

Stockholm Baroque Orchestra’s repertoire embraces a wide spectrum of music from more than two centuries - chamber music, orchestral and operatic works as well as oratorios. Since the ensemble was formed in 1998 it has made itself known for finding new perspectives and putting baroque music in a modern context.

Susanne Rydén has a wonderfully pure but sensual voice and a fine declamatory manner.” International Record Review on Susanne Rydén.
