To mark the 75th birthday of Baroque specialist Gabriel Garrido on 15 November 2025, the newly launched label note one is releasing an attractive and lovingly designed CD box set containing 16 reissues from the former label K617, which were released between 1992 and 2006 and have not been available for many years. This is a collective and thoroughly representative showcase of Baroque music that originated across the Atlantic in Latin America under the cultural influence of Spain, but was able to develop its own musical language. We can now once again enjoy Gabriel Garrido's pioneering work in all its glory and rejoice that his tireless research in Latin American archives has borne such rich fruit and that he has captured it on record with his Ensemble Elyma!
