Once upon a time there was an uncommon, little blue planet, upon which was living a species fascinated by the beauties of the universe that was home to it. The said species was always attempting to look farther away to push back the horizon of the possible and touch with its finger the mystery of its origin. Exploring unknown worlds seemed so vital to it that it forgot all about preserving its own habitat.
This species, unique and trivial in the cosmos, full of paradoxes, it is ours: Mankind.
As NASA is preparing a new human exploration of the Moon, about half a century after Neil Armstrong’s first step, our eyes will again follow the adventures and the streaks of light of the Artemis mission, the younger sister and the descendent of the iconic Apollo programme.
A Dream for Artemis is a concerto for a saxophone quartet and is designed as a tribute to the space conquest from 1957 to the present.
The Artemis space mission will include four spacemen on board.
Four spacemen: four saxophonists, explorers of the sound-universe, four instruments made of glittering metal for a rocket and a common dream.
