The Vogtland Philharmonic Orchestra was founded in 1992 as a joint project between the German states of Thuringia and Saxony, and is thereby unique in Germany.
Simon Edelmann, first prize winner at the renowned 2nd KNSO International Conducting Competition, has served as Kapellmeister of the Vogtland Philharmonie since the 2024/25 season and has performed with renowned orchestras including the Hamburg Symphony Orchestra. They are joined on this recording by violinists Gina-Sophie Gaebelein, Judith Kaiser, Sujung Yun, Chiara-Marie Dullin and Lisa Wolf.
