This is the second album of a series, where all Saint-Saëns’s Concertos are presented by young talents.

The present CD series by the Orpheum Foundation, made possible by the “Eppur si muove” Stiftung, brings together all the concert pieces by Saint-Saëns in performances by young artists – true to the foundation’s principles established in 1990. Orpheum provides performing opportunities with celebrated orchestras and notable conductors for promising musicians from all over the world. For their part, Howard Griffiths and the ORF Radio Symphony Orchestra of Vienna can look back on many years of collaboration with Foundation artists: musical teamwork at the highest level, in which the young soloists are embedded and from which they gain decisive impetus for their subsequent careers.
