Massimo MazzeoAbout
Professor Paweł Łukaszewski, widely regarded as the world's foremost composer of sacred music today, has collaborated with Podlasie Opera and Philharmonic for over thirty years and they have had the privilege to be part of the premieres of his works. These compositions seamlessly blend stylised archaic elements with modern compositional techniques, resulting in an unparalleled sonic palette. Their captivating tonal colour and richness are encapsulated within a noble simplicity of form and texture. Each note and word resonates with a profound sense of divine presence.
This premiere, performed by their outstanding artistic ensemble - the Orchestra, Choir, and Soloists - under the baton of Massimo Mazzeo, took place on 18 August 2024 during the final concert of the second edition of the 'Metastasio Without Borders' International Festival.
