About
Designed to be listened to in sequence, the album features world-premiere recordings by 19th-century female composers Clémence de Grandval and Augusta Holmès, alongside well-loved works by Franz Liszt, Reynaldo Hahn, Henri Duparc, Lili Boulanger, Paolo Tosti, Pauline Viardot, and Vincenzo Bellini.
Opening with Hahn's À Chloris, the album explores love's joys and complexities, culminating in betrayal with Tosti's Non t'amo più! and the title track by Grandval.
The final tracks invite reflection on love, loss, and healing, with poetry by Petrarch, Sully Prudhomme, and Jean Lahor.
