A further complete set of works for piano and orchestra played by the talented Russian pianist Oleg Marshev.
All of Chopin’s works with orchestra were written between 1827 and 1831. They were composed in his youth, whilst still studying with his teacher Józef Elsner at the High School of Music, in the final year he spent in Poland before leaving his homeland for good in November 1831, and in the ten months before he arrived in Paris in September 1831.
Oleg Marshev’s extensive discography includes the Complete Works for Piano and Orchestra by Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Pabst, Ravel, Schumann, Debussy, Winding, Langgaard, Hartmann, Rachmaninov and Mendelssohn.
