J S Bach's music sung by its intended original ensemble - this is disc 7 of 10 in St Thomas's Boys Choir's Anniversary Edition.
Cantatas for Trinity Season features two of Bach's early Leipzig cantatas. Bach composed Die Elenden sollen essen (BWV75) for the First Sunday after Trinity of 1723 - it is his first cantata in his new post as cantor at Leipzig. One year later, Bach concluded his first full year at Leipzig with the cantata Höchsterwünschtes Freudenfest (BWV194).
