About
"Philip Ledger’s career as a phenomenal pianist, conductor, church musician, and composer inspired us all. He could have concentrated on any one of these areas and been hugely successful, but it is clear that each influenced and strengthened the other and made him the unique musician that he was." - William Owen
"Philip Ledger, the man I had first known as a pianist, revealed himself as a fine choir trainer and orchestral conductor, and then as a brilliant administrator and fund-raiser. But in retirement there was one more trick up his sleeve; he turned to composing." - Christopher Bishop
The Alberni String Quartet is one of the longest established ensembles in the United Kingdom.
